Biography

Emma Sayer is professor of ecosystem ecology at the Lancaster Environment Centre and research associate at the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute. In her research, Emma studies the effects of global change on plant-soil interactions and ecosystem function. Moreover, Emma is dedicated to science communication. As such, as a senior fellow at the Collegium, Emma explored how the arts and sciences can work together to engage broad audiences with climate change research.
