The Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) at Aarhus University in Denmark brings together researchers across disciplines, seniority and nationalities in one house. AIAS host fellows from any academic discipline and welcomes both early-career and more senior researchers, in fully-salaries fellowships up to two years or in visiting fellowships.
The weekly seminars, lunches and many academic events at AIAS will ensure that fellows on a daily encounter colleagues from diverse research disciplines that will provide fellows with fresh and different insights, methods and perspectives on their own research - leading to new, transformative and unexpected research questions and ideas.
AIAS offers both individual fellowships, theme-based group fellowships and visiting fellowships for excellent researchers from any academic discipline to pursue cutting-edge research projects for the benefit of society and humankind in optimal research conditions. Fellowships are open for researchers from across the globe.
The Institute is housed in a building designed to meet and facilitate groundbreaking research and knowledge exchange. Whether fellows work in the laboratory or mainly behind the desk, AIAS will provide the facilities needed. The AIAS building has spaces designed for small seminars, workshops as well as conferences that draw hundreds of participants. Situated at the beautiful green campus of Aarhus University, AIAS is close to the city centre of Aarhus – a thriving university city that dates back to around 770 AD. AIAS offers in-house relocation services to accommodate a smooth relocation to Aarhus.
